Начну с общего вида. Не смотря на качественную картинку (честно стыренная известно откуда HDR-версия 4k смотрелась на соответствующем ТВ с поддержкой всех фич и размером 65») ощущение от всего — дешевая пластмасса, кукольные домики, не слишком детализированная совершенно рисованная компьютерная картинка.

Сериал Дом Дракона 1 сезон (House of the Dragon) — американский телесериал в стиле фэнтези, созданный по произведению Джорджа Мартина «Пламя и кровь». «Дом дракона» это приквел «Игры престолов». Сюжет сериала рассказывает о становлении династии Таргариенов, из которой происходили Дейенерис Бурерожденная и Джон Сноу (как потом выяснилось).

В «Игре престолов» зритель мог выбирать себе любимчиков из большого количества персонажей. Кому-то интереснее было следить за Джоном Сноу, другим, скажем, за Станнисом Баратеоном. На другие сюжетные линии зритель мог обращать не так много внимания.

Во-первых, первая серия 'Дома дракона' слегка напоминает первые серии 'Игры Престолов' с знакомыми рыцарскими боями на лошадях, интригами вокруг власти, обнажёнными персонажами, знакомыми локациями и, конечно же, драконами. Пока что нам показали только двух драконов, но создатели обещают показать больше в первом сезоне.

Большая часть хронометража снята либо на хромакее, либо полностью слеплена художниками по спецэффектам. Здесь всё настолько ненастоящее, что даже средневековое фентези приобретает какой-то новый оттенок - компьютерное средневековое фэнтези? И при всем этом цифровом 'великолепии' умудрились сэкономить на драконах, которые нарисованы откровенно слабо. В той же Игре престолов они были сделаны на голову выше.

Главная интрига первых эпизодов и, возможно, всего сезона заключается в том, кто же унаследует престол. Железный трон — одновременно и притягательный символ власти, и причина невыносимых страданий (в случае Визериса буквально — от соприкосновения с троном, состоящим из проржавевших мечей и доспехов, на его спине образуются гнойники, которые никак не могут залечить врачи). Герои существуют в классической патриархально-монархической системе, где нет места женщинам (никаких королев!). Хотя персонаж Консидайна этому противится и не хочет отдавать трон младшему брату, жестокому и коварному Деймону (облаченный в доспехи одиннадцатый Доктор Кто, он же Мэтт Смит).

Первым приквелом по «Игре престолов» все-таки стала история по «Танцу драконов», а боссы HBO решили впредь внимательнее прислушиваться к Джорджу Мартину. В 2021 г. компания подписала с писателем контракт на пять лет. Сумма сделки не разглашается, но источники The Hollywood Reporter называют цифру, близкую к $50 млн. Мартин будет участвовать в создании произведений по мотивам своего творчества и работать над адаптацией цикла фантаста Роберта Желязны.

После непопулярного и cюжетно-провального финала 8 сезона Игры Престолов по вине двух продюсеров - Дэвида Бениоффа и Дэниела Уайсса, которые фактически поставили крест на франшизе, в HBO началась серьёзная реабилитационная работа – разработка проектов спин-оффов по вселенной Песни Льда и Пламени ведётся уже несколько лет.

Кроме этого, сейчас ведется работа еще как минимум над двумя из обещанных пяти сериалов по вселенной «Игры престолов». Один из проектов называется «Долгая ночь» (по другим источникам «Кровавая луна»). Это тоже приквел. Действие там происходит за несколько тысяч лет до событий, показанных в «Игре престолов».
