R v VON EINEM 1984 - 'Abbreviated' Annalore Thompson XN by the Crown:
Q. What did you hear?
A. I heard screeching of tyres, I heard a yell and as I listened there were more voices. In the beginning it sounded as though somebody was trying to run somebody over but foolishly, as a joke.
Q. What was said?
A. I don’t know. You could just hear voices.
Q. Could you describe those voices?
A. The yell, that was quite loud and also the voices. It was quick, it wasn’t a slow discussion. A few words thrown back and forth. I thought there were a group of 3 or 4.
Q. The yell was it from a male?
A. Yes.
